FAQ
Number of guests, children, and number of beds
Up to six people can stay in the house. Up to two people can stay in the same room, with an additional charge of ¥10,000 per person for each additional person).
Up to two preschool children can stay free of charge if they share a bed with a paying guest (no additional bedding)
Children of elementary school age and above are counted as adults and are considered guests in the guest count.
Since preschool children stay free, towels and amenities are not provided. If you require these, please apply for them as an optional paid service after booking.
Children in elementary school and above will be treated as adults.

Please note that bedding, towels, and amenities are not provided for children sharing an existing bed. Towels and amenities are available as an option.
Beds will be provided as follows depending on the number of guests. Simmons mattresses (for the beds) )and high-quality Airweave mattresses (for the floor)are provided.
① For guests with four or fewer adults, including children of elementary school age or older.
Combined Living/dining room/Bedroom : Two single beds will be provided.
Main bedroom: Two single beds will be provided.
② For guests with five to six adults, including children of elementary school age or older.
In addition to the above ①, two single mattresses for the floor and duvets will be provided in the second-floor loft.
For an additional fee of ¥5,000 (tax included), we can provide two single mattresses for the floor and duvets in the second-floor loft even for guests with four or fewer adults, including children of elementary school age or older.
Applications must be made four days prior to check-in and payment must be made in advance by credit card.
If you sleep next to your dog at home, you may do so on the bed, but we ask that you use dog nappies. We provide dog nappies for each night, two pairs each for large, medium, and small dogs, but if you are unsure about the size, please be sure to bring your own.
If your dog has an accident, you must report it yourself and will be required to pay a cleaning fee of 10,000 yen. You will also be required to pay compensation for any damages to the bed or sheets caused by scratching or other causes.
There is one foldable cage located in the storage area of the main bedroom, which you can assemble and use yourself.
Access and parking

Approximately 25 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station (Hokuriku Shinkansen), approximately 20 minutes by car from Saku-daira Station, also on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
Approximately 10 minutes by car from Komoro Station (Shinano Railway)
Approximately 5 minutes by car or taxi from Komoro Interchange on the Joshinetsu Expressway.
We recommend traveling by car, or by taxi or rental car from Karuizawa Station or Saku-daira Station, or by taxi from Komoro Station.
There is space for one standard-sized car in front of the building. There is also parking space for two or three cars about 20 meters down the hill from the house. Please be careful as there are no parking blocks.
Parking is prohibited on the road in front of the building. Please be careful as we cannot be held responsible for any accidents that occur in the parking area
Please be sure to read the following when traveling by car.
- In winter, roads frequently freeze even when it's not snowing. There are steep slopes around the facility, so visiting with normal tires poses a significant risk. Even with winter tires, there is a risk of slipping, so please be sure to bring chains.
- Do not leave your dog unattended in the car.
- As the area has few streetlights, the roads are very dark at night. There are no guardrails on the road in front of the building, so please be careful not to let your wheels go off the road.
We are unable to arrange transportation or taxis. Thank you for your understanding.
Local taxi companies will be listed in the directions we will send you after you make a reservation. Please note that same-day reservations may not be available, so we recommend making your reservation as early as possible.
Reservations, reservation changes, and payments
We require payment by credit card at the time of booking, so we do not accept reservations over the phone. If you have any questions about how to make a reservation, please feel free to contact us by phone or through our inquiry form.
You can also make reservations at the lowest price on our official website.
This varies depending on the booking site, so please check the help page of each site. With Airbnb, changes can be made by submitting a change request and receiving approval from the property. If you are booking through the official site, please send your request to the email address provided in the instructions after booking. Please note that more people than the number of people booked cannot enter the house.
As this is an unmanned facility, we ask that you pay by credit card in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
If you made a reservation through the official website, please request it by email and we will send it to you as a PDF file after your credit card payment has been processed. It may take several days for the receipt to be issued, so please request it well in advance. If you made a reservation through another reservation site, please request the receipt through the reservation site itself.

Regarding dog accommodation
Only dogs are allowed at our facilities. The maximum number of dogs allowed is three, with a maximum of two allowed per guest. There are no breed restrictions, as long as the guest can adequately supervise the dog.
(Requirements)
- Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies, fleas, and ticks, and infectious diseases.
- No aggressive behavior, such as biting people or objects (serious biting).
- Dogs must be trained to a minimum standard, such as not barking unnecessarily.
- Dogs must be toilet trained and use the toilet in designated areas.
- Not pregnant.
- No infectious diseases (viral, bacterial, etc.).
- No internal or external parasites that may be transmitted to other animals.
- Dogs must not be left unattended.
- Please agree in advance to compensate for any damage, breakage, soiling, or loss to the building, furniture, fixtures, or other items.
We do not provide food for dogs.
Please check the information in "Number of guests, children, and number of beds."
We have an authentic English garden, so please enjoy it with your family, friends, and dog. It's available except between 9 PM and 7 AM. Please do not leave your dog's waste there; please collect it yourself, place it in a plastic bag, and dispose of it in the outdoor trash can. If your dog urinates, please fill an outdoor bucket with water and pour plenty of water over it. We also ask that you do not feed or give treats to your dog on the grass.
Some of the grass growing in the garden may be harmful to your dog if ingested. Please keep a close eye on your dog. Weed control is difficult for us to manage, so we cannot be held responsible for any problems that may arise.
The garden will be in its winter guise from approximately November to April. This will allow you to enjoy the crisp air, spectacular views, and starry skies.
The following dog amenities and supplies will be provided regardless of the number of dogs staying.

- Dog bowls (for food and water)
- Dog litter sheets (2) per night
- Dog nappies (2 pairs each for large, medium, and small dogs) per night. Please bring your own in case the size does not fit.

- Deodorizing spray

- Wet wipes
- Foldable cage x 1 (located in the storage closet in the main bedroom).
For bathing your dog, we have a hot water shower on the outdoor wooden deck, so please use that whenever possible. If it is cold, you may shampoo your dog in the guest room bathroom, but please be careful not to let dog hair clog the drain.
About facilities and equipment
We have a wide selection of cooking utensils, appliances, and tableware. Details are provided in the usage guide sent to you after booking.

Basic facilities are as follows:
3-burner professional gas stove / Refrigerators (one inside and one outside the kitchen) / Freezer / Large dishwasher / Microwave / Toaster / Coffee maker / Rice cooker / Kettle / Cookware / Tableware / Basic ingredients such as salt, pepper and oil
Smokeless roaster grill (suitable for yakiniku for a small group) / Tabletop induction pot set
Basic cooking utensils are provided.
We have beautiful, dishwasher-safe tableware in both Japanese and Western styles. Please see the photos on our official website for details.
We provide minimum condiments, such as salt, pepper, soy sauce, and oil. Depending on your usage, these may not be sufficient, so please bring your own as needed.
We have fully automatic washing machines and gas dryers for home use. We also provide detergent.

The following amenities are provided for the number of paying guests. Free amenities are not available for infants. Additional amenities are available after booking for an additional fee (approximately 2,000-3,000 yen depending on the amenities).

There is one folding bed guard available in the storage space in the main bedroom, so please feel free to use it.
Please make sure that children are always under the supervision of their parents when using it.
We offer free Wi-Fi, movie-streaming services and YouTube.
There is no gaming machine.
We have high quality Bluetooth speakers which can connect to your mobile device.
We do not provide bottled water, but recommend the tap water which comes from Komoro City's springs and deep wells.
Coffee and tea is provided in limited quantities.
We offer free Wi-Fi but there is no other business equipment available.
Entry, check-in, check-out, dispatching and storing luggage
Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am, unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.
After you make a reservation, we will email you your entry PIN. The keypad is at the entrance. You are required by law to register address, contact information, and other information.
After entering the house, you will be asked to enter your guest information and take a photo on your smartphone.
To make your arrival as easy as possible we suggest you register all your information in advance and then simply take the photo when you enter.
As a general rule, we cannot accommodate early check-in or late check-out. If you check-out late, you may be subject to a fine of 30,000 yen. We may be able to accommodate early check-in if there are no cleaning or management tasks on that day. Please contact us in advance. We will not be able to accommodate your request without prior notice.
We cannot accept luggage sent in advance.
You may be able to leave your baggage in the house after 12:00 PM on the day of check-in, by prior agreement.
As this is an unmanned facility, we only temporarily store your baggage on check-in day at our discretion. We cannot be held responsible for any theft or loss, so please keep your valuables with you. Please contact us in advance and we will accommodate your request if possible. Even in this case, you will only be able to use the house from the designated check-in time.
Dining and facilities in the area
We do not serve meals.
After you make a reservation, we will send you an email with information about nearby restaurants that allow dogs, about our BBQ grill rentals, and local food stores. You can also find this information in the options section of our official website.
These restaurants and stores are not open every day, so we recommend making your reservation early. Please order and pay directly with the individual restaurants.
The nearest convenience store is the 7-Eleven Komoro Shinya branch, about a 3-minute drive away. The nearest supermarket is the Tsuruya Komoro branch, about a 10-minute drive away. Both stores sell alcohol.
Enjoy a BBQ on the outdoor wooden deck using our BBQ grill.
We rent out a professional electric BBQ grill from WEBER, the world's best-selling brand, for 3,500 yen (tax included).
Please do not bring your own BBQ grill.
Please reserve the grill in advance (credit card payment in advance) after checking the usage instructions sent to you after booking.
We do not sell food, but please do try the excellent meat from Katayama Butcher Shop in Miyota.
You can eat outside on the wooden deck from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. After that, please enjoy your meal indoors with the windows closed.
Additional service options
In addition to the overnight guests, for an additional fee of 7,700 yen per person (tax included), additional guests may enter the house between check-in and 8:00 PM. There should be no more than 6 guests in the house, including guests staying overnight.
After making your reservation, you must apply for the additional daytime guests by email at least three days prior to check-in, and payment by credit card must be made by the day before check-in.
In the unlikely event that our camera detects anyone other than guests or paying additional guests entering the room, or if they have entered after the specified time, you will be asked to leave and an additional fee of 50,000 yen per person will be charged.
If you would like additional cleaning and/or additional amenities during your stay, if you contact us at least four days before the date of your check-in, we can provide these services at an additional cost. Please note that we only accept payment by credit card before check-in.

This includes cleaning the entire house, as well as replenishment of towels, loungewear and amenities. As our cleaners do not touch personal belongings, they will not clean any areas where personal belongings are located. Please note that during cleaning, you will need to leave the house and that you are responsible for keeping valuables with you. There is no safe in the house.
Rules and Prohibited Items
Please note the following points.
This facility is not a hotel with resident staff and is operated unattended. Please be aware of this before using the facility.
Prohibited activities
- Loud conversations and loud noises such as music with windows open
- Use of fire outside the kitchen, such as fireworks, bonfires, and mosquito coils
- Outdoor barbecues, parties, etc. between 9 PM and 11 AM
- Outdoor socializing, including on the wooden deck or in the dog run, between 9 PM and 7 AM
- Smoking on the premises or in buildings (Smoking is prohibited throughout the facility, including electronic cigarettes)
- Leaving food or drink outside (This is dangerous and unsanitary as it attracts birds and animals. If you eat or drink outside, please be sure to dispose of waste in the trash can provided)
- Allowing anyone other than overnight guests or daytime users into the facility without permission
- Staying beyond the designated time without permission
