Ingredients from Takihara
Takihara, located at an altitude of 970 meters, is a hill with long hours of sunshine and constant breezes. The vegetables and rice grown here are notable for their rich flavor and sweetness, made possible by skillfully taking advantage of the clay-rich soil that stores nutrients well. With relatively little rain, the vegetables grown on these hills receive moisture from morning dew and mist, which further enhances their flavor.
At the Takibara Station Farm Stand located just below Sora no Ie GARDEN, you can find freshly harvested vegetables, rice, walnuts, honey, and other local specialties. Since it is open from 7:00 AM until noon, we recommend taking a morning stroll after your stay, picking up freshly harvested vegetables, and enjoying them for breakfast.
